Courtenay earned her degree in Journalism from Florida Atlantic University and accumulated over 20 years of experience in management, marketing, event coordination and promotion prior to joining The Scott Center.

Having a sister diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, Courtenay knew that she wanted to have a role in helping other families experiencing the same challenges that her sister and her family encountered growing up. This was her motivation to join the team at The Scott Center for Autism Treatment as their Director of External Relations.

It is in this role that Courtenay gets to combine her years of experience with her passion for raising awareness and assisting families in need. She executes this through community outreach events, nurturing collaborations with individuals and organizations that are not autism treatment providers but have a heart for the cause, and through fundraising. Courtenay is at the helm of The Scott Center’s signature fundraiser, An Evening of Hope.
